Graduation Process

Planning Ahead

In order to graduate on time and without problems you should be familiar with all of the requirements found in the 2007-2009 Undergraduate & Graduate Catalog. You should schedule a meeting with your advisor to monitor your progress every semester!

Remember: This is YOUR education! Take charge and make sure you understand all the requirements to graduate!

You must meet ALL of the following requirements in order to graduate:

1. All Major/Minor degree requirements AND
2. SOSU General Education requirements AND
3. SOSU Upper Division Course requirements AND
4. Liberal Arts & Sciences requirements AND
5. Senior Institution requirements AND
6. Residence requirements.


Graduating - Undergraduate Students

Early in the semester in which you plan to graduate complete all of the following items:

1. Tell your advisor in the Tinker AFB Aviation Alliance Office that you plan to graduate during the current semester and make sure you meet all major/minor degree requirements.

Your advisor may request an updated General Education check from the Registrar's office (Administration Building A-100).

The Registrar will complete the General Education check and inform you of which requiremenst you have completed and which remain to be completed (This includes requirements 2-6 as shown above).

2. Obtain a Graduation Application and the Graduation Survey from the Tinker AFB Aviation Alliance Office.

3. Complete both forms.

4. Write a check in the amount of $25.00 and make it payable to "SOSU."

5. Turn in the Graduation Application, Graduation Survey and $25.00 check to Tinker AFB Aviation Alliance Office.

Graduating - Graduate Students

Early in the semester in which you plan to graduate complete the following items:

Make sure that your Application for Candidacy and Graduate Degree Plan were completed and signed by your advisor.

Mail all forms to Dr. David Conway.
