Assistant Professor, SOSU at OKCCC
Dr. Marshall has been an Adjunct Professor for the Aviation Sciences Institute at the OKC Aviation/Aerospace Education Alliance at Tinker Air Force Base since October of 2000. He joined the ASI faculty as an Assistant Professor in August of 2004.
Dr. Marshall was also an Adjunct Professor in the Industrial Safety Department at the University of Central Oklahoma, in Edmond OK since 1987.
Dr. Marshall earned his B.S. degree and Master of Science degree at Duquesne University in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He later received his Ph.D. in Engineering from Oklahoma University. He has specialized in the field of Environmental, Health and Safety, with an emphasis on hazard control and evaluation. He has work at Federal, State and Local Agencies, including the USACE, and served as local environmental health official.
Dr. Marshall has 20 years of experience in providing consultation to Industry and Government Agencies. He was the principal representative for Environmental, Health, and Safety concerns during the reconstruction of the 3001 Air Logistic Center building at Tinker Air Force Base after a fire destroyed the facility in October of 1984. He has a significant amount of applied experience with the Aviation/Aerospace Industry environmental permitting and compliance requirements as well as worker safety and health issues.
Dr. Marshall is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) in Comprehensive
Practice as well as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP). He is past
President of the Oklahoma Section of the American Industrial Hygiene Association
(AIHA) and has severed on numerous Committees appointed by Federal and
State Agencies in the area of Environmental Protection and
Worker Safety.
Charles is married to Jean Ann Marshall and has one son - Jamie.
His interest outside of teaching and research are fishing, cooking, and
sports.
